Schambach was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.〔(Reverend Schambach's biographical sketch at MGM ministry.org )〕 He became a born-again Christian as a youth on a street corner when the evangelist C. M. Ward had given an altar call to receive Jesus Christ.
